Hi,

we are trying to solve following error:

CSubscriptionManager.llSubscriptions – com.prosysopc.ua.ServiceException: ServiceFault: Bad_TooManySubscriptions (0x80770000) “The server has reached its maximum number of subscriptions.”
Diagnostic Info: ServiceResult=Bad_TooManySubscriptions (0x80770000) “The server has reached its maximum number of subscriptions.”

We connect to OPC DA Server via OPC UA Gateway and are not able to distinguish, whether the error comes from the Server or the Gateway. The maximum number of subscriptions is currently limited to 10 but we need more.

* Is there a limit on the number of subscription in the OPC UA Gateway?
* Generally, how can we tell, where errors originate from (Server or Gateway)?

OPC DA server does not have subscriptions so the limit is in the UaGateway.

UaGateway has a limit for Subscriptions per Session. The total number of Subscriptions is not limited.

The setting per Session can be changed in the configuration file.

C:\Program Files (x86)\UnifiedAutomation\UaGateway\bin\uagateway.config.xml
<!–Maximum number of subscriptions the server allows to create per Session. Default value 0 is unlimited–>
<MaxSubscriptionsPerSession>10</MaxSubscriptionsPerSession>

Yes, there was a limit in the configuration file. Silly from us not to have noticed it.

We set it to 0 and all subscriptions are working fine.
