Hi,
I’m having an issue with network latency. I’m trying to read values from a local OPC server running on my host machine. My android client is running in the emulator. I have subscribed to particular node values correctly, and have implemented the MonitoredDataItemListener object with the onDataChange(…) callback method. However, even though the server’s data value is constantly changing, the callback is occuring only once evey 1000 ms (1 second). This seems to be too much latency for the onDataChange() method. Is it because my android emulator is communicating with my host machine using the 10.0.2.2 IP address, which results in latency? Is there any way to speed this communication up?
Thanks!
