Hi
thank you to prosys for sending the link for free UA client softwares.
I have a PLC Controller(SABO PLM) in which i already integrated OPC UA server and i could connect with the OPC UA client in my Local PC.But i also want to connect the OPC UA android client for my smart phone but i can only connect with Prosys OPC UA simulation server. When i put the IP adress and port of my PLC it shows the connection error although my PC and my smart phone is in the same WI-Fi network.Does this Android OPC UA client software works only with the simulation server?
What is the way to connect my PLC with the ANDroid Client.

Hi,

The Prosys OPC UA Client for Android is a generic client application. Meaning that it can connect to any OPC UA server.

First of all, because you probably typed the ip-address and port by hand, it’s good to doublecheck these for typing mistakes. As a second step to investigate the connection problem, you could ping the server machine from the Android phone. This way you’ll be sure that the network connection is fine.

Also, one detail to note is that you should start by attempting the connection without security and enable the security settings once you know that the connection otherwise will succeed.

Unfortunately the Android based client doesn’t offer a log file or other means for debugging the connection issues. However, the application itself is working correctly as you can connect to the Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server.
