Hi, my name is Jenn Sierra

I downloaded your UA SDK.NET demo product, but when i installed it, i foud a Unified Automation product so i wonder if you work together or why did it happend.

In order to know if your product meet de needs of my institute, i need to comunicate a Server in one computer with a Client in a different one, i mean, i need a remote comunication but i don´t know how. I wonder you could help me, because if i can´t make a remote comunication with your “Client Getting Started” and your “UA Demo Server” i wont be abble to begin my own client-Server develop.

Thanks

Yes we resell each others development kits and also collaborate in development to share ideas and designs. We produce the Java SDK ourselves and Unified Automation produces the .NET and C/C++ SDKs.

It works the same as locally. You just need to connect to a serverUri with the hostname of the server computer, e.g. opc.tcp://computer:4841.

Also, of course, you must ensure that there is no firewall blocking the used port (e.g. 4841) in the server.
