Hi
I am currently testing the services of the most current Stack that gave the foundation, and for that I use the Simulation server in version v2.2.2-109 with the security modes None, Sign, and Sign & Encrypt enabled and the security policies Basic128Rsa15 and Basic256, With 2048-bit security certificates, it was already enabled, activated and logged in, later the service was successfully tested, then the Write service was tested, where my first question here is, I would like to know if the Prosys server allows the Write the values in the variables and in general of any attribute of the nodes, my second doubt is that when I run the AddNodes service I do not add the nodes and it does not return an Error StatusCode, perhaps the server can not for the moment add New nodes or that could be doing wrong, in advance thank you and hope you can guide me in my situation.

Hi,

In Simulation Server, you can write values to value attribute of variable nodes that have AccessLevel of CurrentWrite. For example, you can write values to all the nodes in the Simulation folder, although the written value will be instantly overwritten by new simulated value.

As for the second point: the Simulation Server doesn’t allow clients to add new nodes.

If you need to test the add nodes service, you can download an evaluation version of the Prosys OPC UA Java SDK (https://prosysopc.com/products/opc-ua-java-sdk/evaluate/) and use the SampleConsoleServer shipped together with the SDK to test adding nodes. Just remember to enable add node service with method NodeManagerTable.setNodeManagementEnabled(true).
