Hello,
Is it somehow possible to use namespace 2 for my own variables and objects. The namespace can not be modified in the Namespaces tab and I can not add any objects to it in the Objects tab.

Hi,
At the moment it is not possible. The namespace “http://www.prosysopc.com/OPCUA/SimulationServer/” holds the internal (OPC UA) types required for modelling the simulation configuration. Nodes cannot be added to type namespaces.
However, we could try to make it so that you could change the namespace index of “http://www.prosysopc.com/OPCUA/SimulationServer/” to something else than ‘2’.
P.S.
In general OPC UA Clients should use the namespace uris instead of indexes when configuring node(id)s, thus it shouldn’t matter what the indexes are (they are just a lookup-table i.e. binary transmit size optimization within a session), but unfortunately the index are sometimes used directly.
