Hello,
I am seeking a little bit of clarification as to how user authentication is implemented with username and password.
I have been trying to connect to the Simulation Server using the above method with no success as yet. Does the server require that the password is encrypted with the server’s public key in order to use the authentication method?

Hello,
It sounds like this question is not related to Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server directly, but instead to the client side application and how it should handle password encryption.
What application are you using as the OPC UA client? Or if you’re developing the application yourself, what SDK or toolkit are you using?
Also, have you already tested that the user authentication works in the expected way when using a generic test application such as Prosys OPC UA Client (https://prosysopc.com/products/opc-ua-client/) ?
