Hello,

We intend to test the certificate management of ProsysSimulation in Push mode from the GDS (see https://reference.opcfoundation.org/v104/GDS/docs/7.3/).
We use ProsysSimulation Server v4.12-876. I have seen that the required nodes are available in the address space.
We will use another stack to test the certificate renewal using this interface.

I have one question regarding taking into account the new certificates.
Does this mean we have to restart the server ? Is there is specific node to trigger the restart remotely ?
Otherwise, is it possible to simply close the existing connections and create new ones ?

Thanks for your help,

Reading the specification, I see that the answer is how the ProsysSimulation server react to the ApplyChanges method (see https://reference.opcfoundation.org/v104/GDS/docs/7.7.5/) which seems to be implementation defined. Is this correct ?

Hi,

Thanks for asking.

However, none of our apps support GDS yet (not even the SDK, though technically you could make the implementation to the methods yourself by plugging in the implemetations). We have been proof-of-concepting some GDS functionality for the SDK internally, but it is not yet something we could release (or use in our apps).

The nodes exists there since we do load the standard information model, which does include the nodes (i.e. other than one special case, we are not deleting the nodes from that; though maybe we should, not sure). Calling them will give error codes that indicate that those methods are not supported.

At some point we will add support for GDS, though in general the current active work has been in getting some PubSub support first (which in turn at some point require GDS or “GDS-like” support as well in order to be “full featured” so to say; basically it is how any secrets are to be plugged in that PubSub confs can refer).
