Hello,

I installed Prosys Simulation Server (5.0.4-284) on Big Sur (11.1) and the app fails with the following error on Status Tab.

ERROR: class com.prosysopc.ua.types.opcua.server.BaseDataVariableTypeNode cannot be cast to class com.prosysopc.ua.a.q (com.prosysopc.ua.types.opcua.server.BaseDataVariableTypeNode and com.prosysopc.ua.a.q are in unnamed module of loader ‘app’)

All other tabs are empty/blank. I tried uninstalling/re-installing the app but it didnt help.

Any idea regarding what the issue could be?

Thanks,
S Martin

Hi,

Have you managed to start the application at all, i.e., has it previously worked?

Yes, once (on the first install) a couple of days ago. It hasn’t worked since. I tried re-installing hoping that some configuration/settings might be corrupt, but that didnt help either.

Ok, thanks for the info. Uninstalling doesn’t actually remove all the settings files, so if you could manually remove the folder at $HOME/.prosysopc/prosys-opc-ua-simulation-server. This will reset the application settings and then you can try to restart Simulation Server.

Hello,

On Windows 10, the you need to remove is C:\Users\”YourUsername”\.prosysopc\prosys-opc-ua-simulation-server folder where “YourUsername” is your username.
