When I create a new simulated variable, if I look at the address space definition of that variable, the RolePermissions, UserRolePermissions, AccessRestrictions, and AccessLevel are all red with a description that “The attribute is not supported for the specified Node.” This happens even for the Counter variable. Any idea?

Hi,

Basically our SDK (which is used to build this app) does not yet support (on the server side) those new Attributes added in the OPC UA Specification version 1.04. Their values can be considered as effectively null, and basically that statuscode is what is supposed to be used then (it is also the same code for an undefined Attribute Id, and the actual value comes via that route technically, but the effect is the same).

Most OPC UA Servers do not yet support these Attributes (nothing pre-1.04 made can and I do not see anyone adding it that easily, thus it will take some time before you could expect a server to support these). Of course there are still like some that do support them even now, and preferably we should also soon, but as said, it might take some time.
