Hey all,

Im trying to add diris energy meters for modbus ua server. I have set the default modbus protocol and ip address, and meters answer to ping.
Still when i try connect to registers ie. 18476 as input register, value says no connection.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Hi,

Are you sure you have the correct address?
I am only asking because I know that the Modbus addressing can be quite confusing. We don’t use entity numbers in addresses. Which means that address 18476 could mean digital input (entity number 1) address 8476. But if you mean input register address 18476 (a.k.a 318476) then that is fine too.

Have you tried other addresses?
If the other addresses are working but this particular one isn’t, then that means that the connection is OK, but the device does not support the address.

Here is a link to Diris modbus registers

https://www.socomec.com/files/live/sites/systemsite/files/SCP/6_gestion_energie/diris/diris_a40/DIRIS-A-40_COMMUNICATION-TABLE_2018-01_DCG01013_MULTI.html#Communication

From there i want to know total active power which is in my believe 18476 register.

I can also try with easier registers, if you have any recommendation.

You can try any address and from different registers (no need to care about data types etc.), just to see if the connection is working. You can also maybe check the log file @ C:\ProgramData\ProsysOPC\ModbusServer\log\modbusserver.log and maybe copy it here.
