Good morning,
I cannot connect to the opc.https endpoint of the demo server (sampleconsoleserver) available in the SDK.
URL: opc.https://{hostname}:52443/OPCUA/SampleConsoleServer
SDK: prosys-opc-ua-sdk-for-java-4.9.0-43
OPC UA client Proys Browser returns the following error:
Bad_CommunicationError (0x80050000) “A low level communication error occurred.”
Failed to retrieve endpoints. The server is not available: opc.https://{hostname}:52443/OPCUA/SampleConsoleServer
While the UAExpert client seems to not support opc.https endpoints.
Could you please help me?

Hello,
OPC UA HTTPS is not used widely and many OPC UA applications do not support it. It is recommended to use OPC UA TCP instead whenever possible.
Is the application you’re developing required to support OPC UA HTTPS?

Dear Matti,
Currently, I do not have a specific customer request about ednpoints. I’m studying the features offered by the demo.
I noticed that HTTPS endpoint is active and I was trying to use it.

Hello,
To test connecting to the SampleConsoleServer using OPC UA HTTPS with Browser, you must copy SampleConsoleServer’s HTTPS certificates (ProsysSampleCA@”YourHostname”_https_2048.der and SampleConsoleServer@”YourHostname”_https_2048.der) from *\sampleconsoleserver\PKI\CA\private to “YourUserHome”\.prosysopc\prosys-opc-ua-browser\PKI\CA\certs where “YourUserHome” is you user home, e.g. C:\Users\”YourUsername” on Windows where “YourUsername” is your username.
After the certificates have been copied, Browser should be able to connect to SampleConsoleServer using OPC UA HTTPS.
