Hello,

In C++ SDK there is a class TopologyElementType, which I don’t find in Java SDK. Could you please tell me if and when this support will be added? Or is it already in there?

Thanks.

First of all. Sorry for the late reply to the first forum question: the forum configuration was still a bit incorrect so your post was waiting for administrator approval, before it became visible. The settings are changed now so the posts should be visible immediately.

The Java SDK does not yet include a Device Information information model implementation. We will be working on better information model support this year, but unfortunately, I cannot yet give any estimation when it might be available.

Our first target is to add support for the new NodeSet XML format, defined by the OPC Foudation, for initializing the standard information model. That should improve the possibility for different information models, in general, but we will need to see how that can be used in practice, once it is available.

A good question. You can, actually, already load the DI and ADI information models into your server, if you just could get access to those files. They have been a bit in beta phase, so we have not mentioned nor included them in the setup yet.

Also, there is no means to create the respective instance objects easily, yet. We will be working on that next year and that should also improve real support for DI and other information models in server implementations.
