Hi everyone,

I’m using Kepware as my OPC UA server and I want to connect to it with Prosys UA client. When I try to connect from the same PC where server is running, there’s no problem. The problem occures when I go to another PC and try to connet from there – I get an error: cannot discover applications from opc…. The firewall is down.

What can I do about it? Is it a network problem or server’s ?

Thanks!

Hello,

Could you send logs from Browser located in *HOME FOLDER*\.prosysopc\prosys-opc-ua-browser\log to uabrowser-support@prosysopc.com ? Additionally, could you use Wireshark to capture traffic between the applications and sent the logs to us? See https://www.prosysopc.com/blog/opc-ua-wireshark/ for instruction on how to capture OPC UA communication with Wireshark.

I realised I was using UA Client, instead of UA Browser.

So when I’m trying to connect to Kepware locally, it’s all good, but connecting from another pc I’m getting: Bad_ConnectionRejected “Could not establish a network connection to remote server”.

Still, I don’t seem to have “Log” folder in prosys-opc-ua-browser.

If your path to home folder contains special characters, it’s possible that log4j2 doesn’t save log files to the default location. You can choose where logs are saved by modifying the filename property in log4j2.xml in prosys-opc-ua-browser folder. If Browser is unable to generate logs for some reason, I would recommend you to use Wireshark to capture communication between the applications.
