I am using UDP based PubSub of Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server. My publisher is running on a remote machine.
I am trying to connect to this publisher running on a remote machine with OPC UA browser. But not able to connect and subscribe the values.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hello,
Have you verified that the network interfaces selected on the Publisher and on the Browser are connected to the same network? Have you tried all available network interfaces on Browser and verified that none of them are receiving messages from the Publisher?

Hi,
When both Prosys Publisher and OPC UA Browser are on same machine, then Browser is able to subscribe the messages from Publisher, but when they are on different machines, Browser cannot subscribe the messages.
I tried with all available network interfaces on Browser and verified that none of them are receiving messages from the Publisher.
Also, I wanted to know if we can configure Prosys Publisher for unicast or multicast publishing? If yes, then how?

Hello,
Have you verified that the different machines are connected to each other? For example, have you tried making a Client-Server connection such that the Client and the Server application are running on different machines?
What is “Prosys Publisher”? Do you mean Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server or something else?

Hi,
Prosys Publisher means: Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server’s “PubSub” functionality.
I am using UDP protocol based PubSub of Prosys OPC UA SImulation server.
While using normal Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server, I am able to make connection with remote server. But I want to establish connection for PubSub feature.

Hello,
You can use a network monitoring tool like Wireshark (https://www.wireshark.org/) to capture UDP traffic on your machine and see if you are receiving messages from the publisher. If the connection works, the package log should show packages sent by the publisher machine to the multicast address you are using. If you don’t see packages from the publisher, you should make sure that your network and firewall settings allow UDP multicast traffic.

I was able to establish connection between Publisher and Subscriber with Unicast type of network, i.e., Configured Prosys Publisher with IP of Subscriber machine as Broker URL.
