Hi all,

I wish to monitor 2000 data from my server. My server is built using another 3rd party software.
However, I am using Prosys browser as my client. So in my ‘data view’, i try to monitor each set of 500 data in different interval times starting from 1 – 5 secs.
However, this did not reduce the refresh time. It still took a very long time for the data capture from my server. May I know if this can be resolve by the prosys client? Any settings that need to look at.

Hello,

2000 MonitoredItems is quite a lot. Browser is typically tested with some tens of MonitoredItems, but not with hundreds or thousands. It is also possible that this is too much for your Server to handle.

Each Data View in Browser represents a Subscription. If you’re using only one Data View, you could try separating the MonitoredItems to multiple Data Views and see if that has any effect. Depending on the Server, it might be easier to handle several Subscriptions with few MonitoredItems instead of one Subscription with many MonitoredItems.

When configuring parameters of Subscriptions and MonitoredItems, such as Publish Interval and Sampling Interval, the Server is allowed to revise parameters requested by a Client to values it supports. Therefore, it is normal that a Server doesn’t always provide values as frequently as requested.
