Hi,
we use OPC UA Gateway to connect OPC UA Client to OPC DA Server and experience strange problem with it. From time to time, the Gateway stops, for no obvious reason. It creates “srvTrace.log” but there are no error messages in it. Any idea how to solve the problem?
The “srvTrace.log” is available via FTP: ftp://ftp.aimtec.cz/pub/DCI/la…..vTrace.log

Hello Jaroslav,
Thank you for contacting us although I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues. At least initially I don’t see anything strange in the log file so it’s hard to say what’s happening.
Is there any regularity in these problems? In other words, what does “time to time” mean in this case?
Has the problem been happening since the installation time or did this problem start only recently?
And can you reproduce the issue with the latest UaGateway version? Based on the log file and the SDK/stack versions this seems not be the latest version of UaGateway. Latest version at this moment is V1.4.4.

I will join this discussion as Jaroslav´s colleague.
Our current version UaGateway is 1.4.1 336.
How to update version – what is neccesary for License transfer? Gateway was bought Feb 2017.

Hi,
The same license file should work also with the newer version of UaGateway.
Just to be sure, you can backup the configuration file “uagateway.config.xml” and license file “uagateway.lic” from bin-folder when doing the update.

Hello
we updated UAGateway to latest version 10days ago (1.4.4 357) and we have still problem with Gateway random hanging (once a day/ two days).
in event manager i found some informations

The UaGateway COM Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s).

Which log file is important to detect reason of this problem and what to find inside some “********* REASON BLOCK********* 🙂 “?
Is there any emergency scenario for gateway restart in case gateway hang down?

Hi,
The needed files for further analysis can be found in the directory ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\UnifiedAutomation\UaGateway\bin’
We would like to receive
– uagateway.config.xml
– Crash log directories (please zip them)
If the UaGateway crashes, the log files are copied at the next restart to the crash log directories.
Files cannot be attached here at the forum, so please send the .xml and .zip to support at prosysopc.com mailing list.
