Hello all,
I’ve been playing around with OPC UA Simulation Server and I am wanting to set server redundancy to cold failover.
I’m a little bit confused about how to accomplish this as the “Objects” tab in the program has a filter that does not show the server object and its descendants.
I’m able to instantiate a new node with type ServerRedundancy, but I imagine to actually change the server settings, it needs to be in the server object.
I could be entirely mistaken, but I haven’t found anything regarding how to do this so I figured I would make a thread asking about it.
I found this post, https://forum.prosysopc.com/forum/opc-ua-java-sdk/opc-ua-server-with-redundancy-support/, from several months ago which I interpreted to mean that server redundancy is currently not supported in OPC UA Server Simulator, but I wanted to check if anything has changed or if this will potentially be supported in the future.
So two questions:
1. Does this server simulator support server redundancy?
2. If so, what am I doing wrong when trying to change it?
Thanks,
Noah

Hi,
Thanks for the question, it shows there would be interest in this kind of a feature, however at the moment sorry, redundancy is not supported by this application. We might look into it at some point, but at the moment I do not know when that would happen.
The full address space can be seen (but not edited) via Options menu -> “Switch to Expert Mode” and then looking at the ‘Address Space’ tab. It is basically the same as would seen when connecting with https://www.prosysopc.com/products/opc-ua-browser/ to the server.
