Hi,

we are using the Client SDK to develop our applications. The simulation server is ideal for testing purposes but to run it in combination with a unit test it would be perfect if it could be startetdwithout the UI. A start method that returns the server address would be great.

You could even bundle it together with the (Client) SDK as a test dependency to avoid misuse by “non-customers”

What are your thoughts on this?

Hi Heiiki,

yes, running Simulation server without GUI would be also great for us. We prefer to run services (incl. for testing) in Docker containers.
A .deb or .rpm release of your server would also be great!

Hi Thomas,

Good to know that there’s demand for the non-gui version.

Currently the Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server installer is available as exe, dmg, deb and rpm formats and there are no plans to change this. So the .deb and .rpm releases will be available also in the future.
