I recently built and ran the LDS from
https://github.com/OPCFoundation/UA-LDS
for Linux. I tried exchanging the certificates as suggested in a 2014 post

but to no avail.
I have also checked the registration checkbox in the OPC UA Simulation Server using opc.tcp://localhost:4840 and also tried opc.tcp://localhost:4840/UALocalDiscoveryServer.
Is there an existing guide on how to successfully register the OPC UA Simulation Server endpoints on the OPC UA-LDS?

Hi,
I recommend asking the Foundation, I have only tested vs. prebuilt ones.
At least on windows, installing it from https://opcfoundation.org/deve…..erver-lds/ , copying the cert “SimulationServer.der” like mentioned in the post to the correct place (that of course is windows specific, I do not know the correct linux folder) and checking the Register to box in the Endpoints tab with address “opc.tcp://localhost:4840”, clicking Apply and restarting the application like mentioned next to the button should register it after it starts.
