Hi,
We would like to simulate a real life scenario with several counters running at once. We have created several counters and we would like to them to start AT ONCE – so that they have the same cycle time.
>> is it possible to start the simulation server so that the counters start from zero and all start at the same time?
Thanks,
GH

Hi,
Assuming I understood the question correctly, not possible currently.
In recent versions, all signals are intentionally deterministic functions of time, including counters. This allows simulating history data directly related to the history calls.
Currently there is only one clock source, the current time. All simulated signals will have the same SourceTimestamp.
This means the signals will start at a value depending on when the server was started, but if e.g. you restart it the new value will be equal to what would have been the value without restarting.
P.S. If a signal would have the same value as previous one, note that most clients only subscribe to value changes, not timestamp changes and will only display changes when the value itself did change.
P.S.2. The Interval Offset parameter toggles how many intervals (+ or -) it will offset to other similar parameterized counters.
