Hi,

I played around with the server and realized it is not able to create new methods.
Is that feature available?

Thanks!

Hi,

This is not possible, at least for now. It’s something that could be added in the future if I have time.

Hello Bjarne,

are there specific plans to add support for custom methods? It would be super useful for testing the client.

Thanks!

Jun

Hi Jun,

Currently no specific plans, but it is something that we will consider for future features.

Hi,

Is the Method creation possible now for OPC UA Simulation Server? I downloaded the Product Version 5.3.0-64 SDK Version 4.9.0-43.

My method needs to have 2 Input Arguments (UInt16 and Float) and 1 Output Arguments (Boolean).

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Seems time flies..

Anyway, unfortunately not yet in any useful way. The pro-edition allows loading NodeSets. If a NodeSet has a Method node, it would be loaded and thus visible, but calling it wouldn’t do anything, except returning Bad_NotImplemented.

The application has a lot more functionality compared to 2015, but they are mostly regarding value-simulation and making new instances (instead of just having fixed set of basic nodes that could be added) + PubSub Publisher simulation. Our next release (in this month; hopefully) should contain some event-simulation (probably as a pro-edition feature). Alarms and Methods would be worked after that (most likely also as a pro-feature). We are not yet exactly sure how the Method simulation would be done, but I guess some constant-answers can at least be done. Also not sure when those would be released, but I guess during next year.
