Hello,
You are correct that editing 500 variables by hand is not possible or convenient. For this reason, you can configure the Prosys OPC UA Modbus Server by editing the devicesConfig.xml file directly.
Actually the XML format has been designed to be very straightforward so that it would be easy to edit. Based on your description, it sounds like you have already found the devicesConfig.xml file in the correct folder (chapter 5 in user manual states the file locations).
Do you have some specific problem when editing the file?

Hello
yes i have found it.
To progress and to test all the communication of the the machine .
I woud like, if it possible for you, a filling exemple of this file according to my description mentionned.
– 2 Modbus master : TRIO + EPACK
– 2 type of différents variables (INT and Floatting with word swap)
Can you do it ?
Another question : When i make modification in the configuration. I dont see différences in this file.
How to upload devicesConfig.xml it in the server ??
Thanks

Hi,
I’m happy to send you an example of the configuration file by email. However, I think the actual problem is the description “When i make modification in the configuration. I dont see differences in this file.”
The functionality should be as follows: when you make changes in the user interface of Prosys OPC UA Modbus Server, the changes are immediately saved to the devicesConfig.xml. The changes are not taken into use before you restart the application. After restart, any changes that you made are taken into use. If you edit the devicesConfig.xml directly, the recommendation is to shutdown the application before making configuration changes. Otherwise it doesn’t matter whether the changes were done from the user interface or if you edited the devicesConfig.xml directly.
So to answer the question “How to upload devicesConfig.xml it in the server”: you need to restart the Prosys OPC UA Modbus Server in order to ‘upload’ the changes.
Please let me know if you experience any other behaviour than the description above.

I always compare your production to KEP OPC UA SERVER

It’s very usefull. Like you can see i have use it to have help.
– Can you put this fonction in the next version ?
– You mentionned you will change the polling time in the futur, have you got a date for this fonction ?
