Dear,
i have intalled, few months ago device xml file to have the configuration differents partner in Modbus + adress tables. (3 partners) : Working perfectly
After few months of work, my collegue, instead of working on my original XML file, worked directly in your software to add new adress table in my 3 partners and to add a 4th partners.
No problems.
Yesterday we have decided to update to last OPC MODBUS server….This new version instead to start on last “good” configuration… the server start on the last configuration correctly but with only 3 Modbus Partner instead of 4 ????
Every adress add was ok for partner 1 to 3 ok (last version) but Nothing on the partner 4…… why ?????
Thanks

Hi,
Thank you for the post although I’m sorry to hear that there’s problems with the Prosys OPC UA Modbus Server.
Could you send us the log file produced by the application? The log file is available from “log” folder. On Windows, this is by default “C:\ProgramData\ProsysOPC\ModbusServer\log”
Also, if you can send the erroneous configuration file, we’ll be happy to look at it.
You cannot easily attach these files here to the forum, so please send them to us by email to support prosysopc.com mailing list.

Hello,
If you want to create a copy for backup purposes or copy the configuration from one server to another, you can just copy the Configuration Files from the Configuration Folder of the source server to the Configuration Folder of the target server.
Currently there’s four configuration files:
serverConfig.xml – OPC UA server configuration
userConfig.xml – user accounts for the OPC UA server
devicesConfig.xml – configuration of the Modbus device connections
slaveConfig.xml – configuration of the Modbus slave functionality
If there’s some issues while trying to move the files and take the copied files into use, please let us know what kind of issues you’re having and we’ll be happy to investigate this as a bug.

Hello,
Allright, thank you for the feature proposal. According to my understanding this would be a pretty straightforward feature to implement. I’ll mark this into our issue tracker and we’ll consider this in a later release.
I guess that this kind of import/export feature hasn’t yet been considered as a priority because the configuration files can be accessed directly from the file system and the user manual does explain how to use these.
