Hello,

I am trying to implement an OPCUA server using the java SDK. I am able to set the point’s EURange and EngineeringUnits correctly using the
AnalogItemType.setEngineeringUnits and AnalogItemType.setEURange functions.

However, when I browse the points in OPC UA Browser I see the value being shown as Bad_OutOfService (0x808D0000) “The source of the data is not operational.”. If I expand the value I see the correct values set but it does not show it on the top level.

How do I set the EngineeringUnits and EURange so that the value displays correctly for these properties?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!

Hello,

The SDK does not internally use StatusCode Bad_OutOfService, at least not in the latest version 5.2.6. If you update the SDK to this version and still receive this StatusCode, then the error is most likely in your code.

Note, that older version of SDK samples might have used this StatusCode. If you have copied code from the samples to your Server, you might have copied parts that use that StatusCode. Thus, it is recommended for you to check your code for references to StatusCode Bad_OutOfService.
