Hi,

I was testing the stack 2.9 but somehow I have the issue that CodegenModel doesn’t have an accessible constructor. I was wondering if it is possible to register a custom datatype class and its serializer with clients and server directly?

Version number 2.9 points to the future SDK 3.0 beta. As it is beta/work in progress there are some yet documented changes. Therefore it is better if we continue discussion via email.

Anyway currently in the development tree the CodgenModel is now abstract and has 2 subclasses, ClientCodegenModel and ServerCodegenModel to better specify to which side the model should be registered. The generated code from SDK2 is not compatible as-is with SDK3. The SDK3 will come with new codegen (which is also incompatible with SDK2). For example, the UA ByteString class will be mapped mapped differently.
