Hi, i am new to OPC UA. I want to create an application which connects with the server and read one variable. I kept all my libraries on the class path in java application. Then I copied SimpleClient file and tried the run the same.But it is unable to run.I created a UaClient using serverAddress as “opc.tcp://localhost:52520/OPCUA/SampleConsoleServer” .

What do i need to do in order to run my code…?

Hi,

Generally speaking, basic java development is outside the scope of the SDK support. However if you follow the Prosys_OPC_UA_SDK_for_Java_Starting_Guide inside the tutorial folder of the SDK zip you downloaded you should get somewhere. And of course if you are just trying to run the client do note that the server must of course be running as well in order for you to connect to it.

Other than that, I would need to see error messages and/or stacktraces to provide anything useful.
