Hei,

I have a small feature request:
Would it be possible to add the “RetentionPolicy=RUNTIME” to @Mandatory and @Optional -Annotations in future versions of the SDK? [Classes com.prosysopc.ua.nodes.Optional / com.prosysopc.ua.nodes.Mandatory].

Actually only the @TypeDefinitionId -Annotation has a Runtime RetentionPolicy.
Reading those annotations reflectively at runtime would be a great relief for working with the codegen model.
I’m using version 2.2.2-638 of the API.

Thank you for the proposal. This sounds like a good feature.

However, I must admit that I don’t know the design decisions behind these annotations or why they have been left out originally. Because of the holiday season, getting a more definite answer to your request will have to wait until next week.

Please let us know if you have some further requests or comments.

Hi,

Yes, this indeed is a good feature. Probably the main reason for the lack of these is that the annotations are not used by the SDK internally.
