Hi,
In our NodeManager implementation, we have used MonitoredDataItem.setDataChangeFilter in the “afterCreateMonitoredDataItem” method to set a DataChangeFilter. This method seems to be package private / protected in server sdk 1.4.0-xxxx.
Instead, I have tried to use the MonitoredDataItem.getDataChangeFilter() and set the filter options there, but it seems the DataChangeFilter is never initialized and therefore null.
How could I set a DataChangeFilter (especially the DataChangeTrigger) for the MonitoredDataItems?

The filter should normally be defined by the client application and the MonitoredDataItem will apply the requested filtering to the data changes automatically.

So, what are you actually trying to do with it?

We do have an ua client, connecting to our server, that does not provide the possibility to define a DataChangeFilter for the subscriptions but we do need the data to be sent to the client even when only the timestamp has changed (Status/Value/Timestamp)
