Hi,

Is it possible to customize metadata sent in Uadp-message? At the moment metadata contains keys from OPC UA specification like name, fields, sequenceNumber, dataSetWriterId and statusCode but service like Siemens MindSphere wants extra metadata information to build the structures dynamically. In MindSphere they want “structureDataTypes” alongside “fields” information.

At the moment I am using Java SDK evaluation 4.10.2-62. Is this possible in binary SDK? Or would I need the source code version to modify the SDK to include custom metadata?

Hi,

We do not yet support the “full metadata”. It is something we need to add at some point, but so far it has been a bit unclear when; it is a bit complicated, but skipping that here. I believe this is now the first request/need for this feature.

Technically since you can write “any java code”, it is “implementable” within the source edition, but doing that might be … complicated and time consuming. So we should probably continue via email in this case, uajava-support@prosysopc.com
