Hi,

I want to revise the monitoringParameters for a custom nodeManager which doesn’t support UaNodes. The NodeManagerListener callback “onCreateMonitoredDataItem” only provides an UaNode, which is null as UaNodes are not supported. I guess it would make sense, to change the signatures of the Listener methods to provide both the UaNode as well as the NodeIds.

Is there any other recommended way to revise the monitoringParameters during the creation phase of a MonitoredDataItem?

PS: onModifyMonitoredDataItem() works okay, as the NodeId is retrievable from the MonitoredDataItem itself
PPS: looking at the sources, I could probably overwrite protected void createMonitoredDataItem() and call super… ?

Hi,

Good notice. Will be changed (I don’t particulary like modifying existing interfaces, but this seems like it was forgotten to be added in the signature). I can provide beta links for changed version.

You would need to override NodeManager.fireCreateMonitoredDataItem, it seems to ignore the NodeId parameter (because the listener does not have it..)
