Hello Everyone,

I am subscribing to few Tags on a Kep server and few of the tags have status as bad, however I do not get subscription notification for all the nodes, not even for the first time. I only get subscription notification one time that too for one node whose status is bad. Can someone help me in understanding what might be causing this behavior.

Hello Tejeswar,

If I understood correctly, your issue is that you are not receiving any subscription notifications for some nodes and for some nodes subscriptions work as expected. Is this correct?

As a first step, you should make sure that the server actually sends subscription notifications in the way that you expect. You can accomplish this by using a third party client application, such as Prosys OPC UA Client: https://prosysopc.com/products/opc-ua-client/

When you know that the server works as expected, you should take a look at how you create your subscriptions. In Prosys OPC UA Java SDK you can listen to data changes either at the MonitoredItem level

dataItem.setDataChangeListener(dataChangeListener);

or on the Subscription level

subscription.addNotificationListener(subscriptionListener);

Are you sure that there is a data change listener added to all of the MonitoredItems?

Let us know if this was helpful or if you have further questions.

Hello Tahvanainen,

Thanks for the prompt response, the issue is resolved for the tags that didn’t have correct data type set, I was not receiving subscription messages. After changing the data type the subscription started to work.
