Hello,
i created an OPC UA Server with Prosys Java SDK. Now i wrote a Test-Client also with the Java SDK and i want to react on Changes of Values of Nodes in the Server. My problem is, that the reaction on the client side is to slow. The client reacts about one second to later. When i connect to the Server via UaExpert, the reaction on Changes in DataAccess View is very fast (milliseconds). What can i do, to make my client react faster on Changes? I Already tried: “setSamplingInterval(0)”, which should set the interval to the fastest possible, but did not change anything.

Thanks.
Ibrahim

Hi,
i found out, why the client was so slow. I had to set “subscription.setPublishingInterval(50)”. 50 ms was just an example. Now the client reacts very fast on changes. But i have another question. My server outputs “Acknowledge on Subscription 10: 2 – Bad_SequenceNumberUnknown”. i searched for this in the forum and found, that the reason could be the “maxRetransmissionQueueSize”. I already set it to “1000000”, but nothing changed.

Good that you figured out the PublishingInterval.

Acknowledgement seems a bit strange, but maybe the client is trying to acknowledge the same messages several times? In general, you can ignore these messages, if everything is working properly otherwise.

Hi,
now since my OPC UA Server is running for a few days, my log files a full of the mentioned above “Bad_SequenceNumberUnknown” messages. Is there a way to stop the Server printing this, without changing the loglevel. Of course the best solution would be, to find out why the Server does that.
BTW: Everything else works properly.

Thanks.

Hi,

Currently it is not possible without changing the log level (you could of course change it just for com.prosysopc.ua.server.Subscription). There was some changes related to this in order to get the certification. The error indicates that the client tries to acknowledge an unknown sequence number, i.e. something the client should not do. But of course its not that practical to see it every minute in a log file. We need to think about it..

I found a bug from the client side, which causes the notifications to the server, if there are alive packages being sent (which the client is also acknowledging, although it should not). Will be fixed in the next update – or you can request a beta fix from uajava-support at prosysopc.com.
