Hi,
I would like to know if the “node manager”, used to manage the nodes of the space address, is an object suggested by the OPC-UA standard.
What role would it have in the standard?
I have not found references to it in the OPC-UA specifications.
Do all SDKs generally implement it?
Thank you in advance,
regards,
Luke

Hi Luke,
The NodeManager concept doesn’t come directly from the OPC UA specification.
This is a model for organizing the server side node handling. This architecture has proven to be convenient in practice. Some SDKs implement a similar kind of construct and some don’t.
Furthermore, the node concept itself is abstract from the specification viewpoint. The OPC UA specification doesn’t force servers to implement actual node objects in any specific way. The data handling is implementation specific.
