Hi,

We are trying to connect to Prosys OPCUA Server and since the server certificate has the CA certificate in the issuer field we are not able to connect to server without the CA certificate. Is there a possible solution without trusting the CA serer or is this the only solution? Is it a common use to use intermediate certificates which are derived from the CA certificate to create server certificates?

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, in general certificates can be issued by a CA.

P.S. In general if you are trying to connect via https, use opc.tcp instead.
