Hi,
I just downloaded the evaluation version of Java SDK for OPC/UA. I created the new java project and pointed the workspace to the folder where I extracted the SDK as per the readme document. It works there, but now i created my own new java project in Eclipse and copied the lib folder and the client and server sources under the new workspace for my project. I get errors in the IDE itself e.g. see the attached screenshot.

Can someone guide me in getting started with the SDK please?

(look like there is no provision to attach files to the posts!)

Regards

Have you followed the instructions in README.txt? Make sure you have the necessary libraries in your build path. But also note that not all libraries are necessary to your projects (select either bc* or sc*).

I am getting errors like “The method IsEnabledPV6() is undefined for the type UaServer” and some override errors for methods like onReadValue and onWritevalue , getVariableDataType etc… in sampleConsoleClient &server after copying them in my first trial project. I don’t know if some libraries are missing (not properly included in the build path). Basically I did right click on my project and selected build path>configure build path>libraries tab>add jars and pointed to the files in lib folder of the project created from extracted sdk as per the readme.txt file and selected all jat files there. I don’t know if I did it right? Is there any other way of selecting jars thru an XML or something like that?
Best regards

Sounds like your project is referring to an older version of the Prosys OPC UA Java SDK jar.
