Hi,
I’d like to discover the endpoints of a Prosys SDK server prior to connecting to it (using a Prosys client application). In previous SDK versions, the getEndpoints() method did the job nicely. In the current SDK version, the discoverEndpoints() seems to be a replacement. When calling this method, the server returns a
…Caused by: com.prosysopc.ua.client.InvalidServerEndpointException: Server URI invalid: ServiceResult=Bad_ServerUriInvalid (0x804F0000) “The ServerUri is not a valid URI.”
error. Calling discoverEndpoints() after the client connected works alright.
Q1: How can I discover endpoints prior to any connection with the current toolkit from the client side?
Q2: Does the internal JAVA Server SDK based discovery server require explicit activation? (the documentation says it is automatically activated) or why does the server respond with an error?
PS: the same behavior occurs when trying to obtain endpoints from a client created with different, non-JAVA SDKs
Many thanks for your support,
Hans-Uwe
