Cannot connect with username and password

I am trying to connect to OPC server on local PC using

client = new UaClient(“opc.tcp://HOSTNAME:”);
client.setSecurityMode(SecurityMode.NONE);
client.setUserIdentity(new UserIdentity(“myusername”,”password”));
client.connect();

Error I am getting
Failed to activate session.

I can connect without user credentials but not with them. Why it is not getting connected using user credentials. ?

Sounds like your server does not accept the credentials. Do you have any more information about it – which server are you using, for example?
