The URL does not look like a valid connection URL for Kepware. Please, try

opc.tcp://localhost:49320

In OPC UA you use NodeId:s when you make a read or write request or subscribe for changes.

You should find the correct NodeId to the tags using a graphical client, such as Prosys OPC UA Client. Note that the NodeId contains a NamespaceIndex and a value (string, integer or such).

Once you have the NodeId, you can use that as a parameter for UaClient.readValue(), for example.

I currently have Kepware’s OPC Quick client. How can I get the nodeId of the tag I want to read ?

Sorry, I am new to this!

I don’t know that application myself. You should be able to browse the address space and look at the Attibutes of the nodes (objects and variables).

I suggest to refer to the user manual of your application – or check the Prosys OPC UA Client.
