Hi, a really noob question.

But when I know want to browse the address space from the client, I have to provide some sort of NodeId.
But I cant seem to find how to start browsing from the root node, because I dont know how to achieve its NodeId.
Do the client have to have knowlegde of the server to retrieve the NodeIds that have made or where can I start to browse when I dont know any NodeIDs?

This was not clear in the tutorial.

Yes that’s not mentioned. The standard NodeIds are available in the org.opcfoundation.ua.core.Identifiers class.

If you look at the SampleConsoleClient source, you will find more details on how to perform the different tasks in the client side.

Thank you, it worked fine. So the Root, Object, Types, Views and Server are static folders which will always be there and can be identified by the Identifiers.RootFolder and so on?

I just referenced a NodeId to the Identifiers.something and got a list of referencedescriptions. So that makes more sense now! Thx

Exactly. Every server must have these nodes.
