Hi

I’ve written an OPC UA Client and i’m using ProSys OPC UA Simulator Server to test it. Running in Anonymous mode my client connects and i can browse the server. however when I configure my client to use a Username and Password it fails with No Suitable UserTokenPolicy found for the possible endPoints. I’ve debugged it and it appears that http://opcfoundation.org/UA/Se…..olicy#None is not in the endpoints userIdentityTokens array.

I’ve set up a user in The OPC UA Simulator Username & Passord box is ticked
Security Modes = None
Security Policies = All are ticked

Any help would be appreciated .

Thanks

Hello,

Which OPC UA SDK have you used to implement your Client application?

Thank you for responding.

I’m using Open62541 libraries. After further testing I can connect using the username and password, (proSys connection log confirms this) but only when anonymous is set in the user tab in ProSys. When connecting using UaExpert I don’t need to do this. One thing i’ve noticed is that the UaExpert sets the ClientIdentity whereas mine isn’t set and at the moment I can’t see where I can set this in Open62541.

Thanks

Hello,
Sorry that we don’t know much about Open62541, as it’s an open source software which we haven’t tested. Probably, you are missing some parameter or you need to create a step somewhere to make an encrypted password version of the token. This is something on stack level and as a developer, you shouldn’t have to be concerned about it. We have a Ansi C based OPC UA SDK with proper APIs that take care of stack level functions. If you’d like to try the free eval edition, please contact sales@prosysopc.com.
