No, it is not unique.

What comes closest in OPC UA is the translateBrowsePathToNodeIds service, but the Browser doesn’t enable you to use it.

On a second thought, Browser could have such a search option – only the implementation is not straight forward, since it needs to go browsing the address space until found. And this operation can be quite big, if the server address space is large.
