Hello,
I am new with OPC UA. I installed the OPC UA Demo server and OPC UAExpert. Both are running on my Windows machine and I can see the Data Access View from OPC UA Expert (such as the boiler temperature, fill level etc…).
On the other side I have a device connected to my computer with an Ethernet cable and i configured the network , my purpose is to connect my device to the OPC so I can retrieve the data samples.

Thanks,
Best Regards,

Hello,

I believe that both of these products are made by Unified Automation and you should turn to their support forum for more information.

However, if I understood correctly, you are trying to access your own device data. For this purpose, you most probably cannot use any free sample OPC UA server such as UA Demo Server. What kind of a device are you connecting to? Prosys offers for example OPC UA Modbus Server (https://prosysopc.com/products/opc-ua-modbus-server/) which you can use if you wish to expose Modbus data via OPC UA.

Hello,
Thank you for your information, I will check their forum and the link provided. To answer your question I am connecting it to an embedded industry PC that collects data, so i am using the OPC Demo server as a data generator and try to collect those data from my device, and not access the data in my device.
Best Regards.

Hello,

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood your setup. It seems that there is some problem in the OPC UA connection between the embedded PC and your own Windows machine. I think that you should consult the documentation of your OPC UA Client software.
