Hello
Is it possible to create a AdressSpace root without a PathSeparator
My AddressSpace roote are: S7:[KSA] and my Items are named: S7:[KSA]MB0 or S7:[KSA]DB200.DBW0,INT for example, similar to the SimaticNET-OPC-Server!
I tried to use the char “]” as the PathSeparator but, when i browse the items at my test client, it will looks like:
S7:[KSA
– MB0
– DB200.DBW0,INT
The Items are correced created! this is not a problem, but it doen’t looks good.
Thanks
Gregor

I think the only option is to define PathSeparator to something that never appears in your ItemIDs. This will create a flat address space, though.
The problem is that without a PathSeparator, it is not possible to tell the hierarchy from the ItemID.
Hello Jouni
OK, Thanks for the information.
Regards
Gregor
