I’m not sure if when you delete an TPsOPCServer oject the OnDisconnect event is fired.

If the answer is yes, how can you detect that the disconnection is because of an OPC Server disfuntion or because you are deleting the OPCServer object?

Yes, OnDisconnect is called whenever the connection is closed. When a component is being destroyed, the following is True:

procedure TForm1.PsOPCServer1Disconnect(Sender: TObject);
var
Dest: Boolean;
begin
Dest := csDestroying in (Sender as TPsOPCServer).ComponentState;
end;
