OK, I think I’ve got it.
If the server is shutdown, it will not accept client connections any more. But if a client still tries to connect, the server will raise an internal EAbort exception. Apparently, the exception causes the message box to display, instead of returning the error to the client.
I don’t know why this happens when the client tries to disconnect, since the error comes from TPsOPCProviderClientFactory.CreateComObject, which should be called when the client tries to open the connection.
I will try to figure out why it fails and how the method should be written. Do you have the source or would you need an updated download?
